How can you help?
Well, adopting a pound dog is a good place to start, but even
if you can't bring a dog into your home right now, there are
other ways to help.

For starters,
please remember to spay & neuter your pets!
We don't need any more homeless dogs running the streets.

The dogs are always in need of cookies and treats.  Why not
brighten up a Hartford Pound dog's day and donate some
yummy biscuits or fun chewies?

Blankets and bedding are also always greatly appreciated.
With the cold weather, the dogs are in need of something soft
to curl up with. We will happily accept old blankets, towels,
sheets, pillowcases and tablecloths.

DOG OF THE WEEK
Hartford Dog Pound.com
Pit bull mix  - female, 8
months old, approximately
45 lbs. This sweet girl was
taken in a neglect
case...she was found
chained to a makeshift dog
house in the heat with no
food or water.  She is
friendly, playful and
affectionate.  The poor girl
melts at any sign of
kindness and
affection...you can tell she
hasn't had much of it in her
life.  She doesn't have
much time left.  If you can
find room in your home
and heart for this sweet
dog, she would be so
appreciative.  Why don't
you come down and meet
her?  You won't be sorry.
She can be adopted any
time now.  #547
